Hello,
My husband and I are also considering adopting a toddler from Panama. We have been looking at International Adoption Resource. They seem knowledgeable and responsive. Has anyone heard of them? Also, has anyone completed an adoption, yet? Any info would be great! Thanks, Amy
Hi Amy,
We have just decided to pursue Panamanian adoption, and are also interested in adopting toddlers. We aren't using IAR as our agency just recently began a Panama program but I'd like to hear how you progress. Panama is a fairly new option, and it would be good to compare notes with someone.

Hi, I am also considering adopting from Panama. I am looking into IAR and World Partners. I haven't found any agencies that have experience with Panama adoptions. So far both agencies look good but do have a difference in price.

Hello!
We are also pursing an adoption from Panama. We are working with World Partners and originally began with Guatemala program but due to restructuring in Guatemala have switeched to Panama. We are also interested ina toddler!
We have just completed home study and will be doing INS clearance now and assmebling all other materials. They offer a servcie to chase down paper and documents for you so we will probablysign on with that too. I think it is well worth the $ as the document chase can be very tedious ad time consuming from what I know.
We are happy with our agency.
There is little on Panama Adoptions so I would love to share info.with others who are also going through this process.

Hi There,
Yes, I have been in the process of adopting with IAR since February 2003 (they received my Dossier in June). They are very good although not a lot has happened yet because originally I was going to Guatemala, but now since things are held up down there I have decided to go to Panama. Right now I am in the process of collecting all of the other documents needed for Panama. It is much more extensive than Guatemala (unfortunately). I am hoping this works out. There have not been a lot of adoptions from Panama into the U.S. in the past. I would recommend IAR for an adoption program. The only money they have asked for in all these months is the application fee. BEWARE of agencies asking for money upfront.
Thanks,
Linda :)
Hi there! We were originally interested in Guatemala, and started out with IAR. When we realized Guatemala was going to be very difficult if not impossible, we switched to World Partners. I had some concerns about IAR, and I feel better now that we are with World Partners.

Does anyone have the website for World Partners? I would like to take a look at their programs.
Thanks,
