We went domestic with our boys. We had been unable to have children biologically and I so wanted a newborn baby. Now I can't wait to get the youngest out of diapers!! Just kidding! If we adopt again we want a girl but that is not that easy domestically and our caseworker suggested international next time. She recommended their Guatemala program and their Korean program. Our youngest is 1/4 Korean so we thought that would be the country we would consider but we still are not ready to pursue another adoption right now. I am 45 and my husband is 40. It will have to be clear direction from God if we pursue another adoption! One big plus about domestic is we have a relationship with our youngest's birthmother. We have been able to include her in a couple of family events so far. My heart has been changed through God's power and I can't imagine life without our birthmoms!
Hi JVW27, I am new to this board also and just had read your post. It may be alittle late to reply about Bethany but I can't say enough about them. My Dh and I are working on our 2nd adoption and we are adopting International. We have 1 adopted son from Korea and we are now adopting alittle girl from Guatemala. They are a wonderful agency, if you have any questions you can e-mail me privately. Kathie1016@aol.com. Good luck on your agency decision and if you are already in the process, Congrats!
