I just thought that I would bring everyone up to date on what has been happening in our family since I found my husband's b/mom last year. If you read my last post "Wonderful Reunion" it will give you some background on my husband's black market adoption. But all in all, I believe that things always happen for a reason. Since my last post upon our return from Canada, my mother-in-law and her husband have spent over 2 months (not all together 6 weeks in Feb and 3 weeks in May for Mother's day) with us. They are returning at the end of August and will remain here in Florida with us for 6 months. They will now become what we fondly refer to as "snow birds". My husband can't get enough of his mom and truthfully, I feel the same. If I had asked God for a perfect mother in law, he couldn't of dreamed up a better one. Her husband is just as great. All in all, we are now one big happy family. In fact, most of my friends are a little surprised at the type of relationship that has developed in such a short period of time. We spoke for the first time on Nov. 14 2002. So, its only been approx. 7 months. I am not really sure the reason I felt compelled to write this, but I hope that all of you who are out there searching find what we have found. I realize that not all cases are the same, and that my husband's case was a little on the unique side, but I encourage anyone who might be considering finding a birth relative for a loved one as I did (if they are nervous about looking for themselves) do so. Although anyone must be prepared for a negative outcome, (believe me, I spent many sleepless nights), the rewards may be immesurable. Good luck to everyone. God Bless and Keep the faith and hope!:D
