Hi Susan -
We adopted twins a year ago and bought the Graco Duoglider. We liked it because it was one of the few you could attach 2 infant carriers to, and the only one I could find on short notice. We have been very happy with it. It collapses easy, but if the back seat is reclined it is hard to get into the underneath storage area - and the front seat does not recline fully.
We read reviews that said it would not "hold up" well, we have used (and abused) this stroller way more than what I expect the "typical" user does - the tires are bald!!!
The stroller has been to South Africa and back, to Alaska and back twice, to Chicago and back (all on planes, and you know how they treat luggage). We have used it nearly daily for walks of up to 3 miles including some in the snow and sleet (with a vented plastic cover of course). And so far have had no problems with it!

I've also heard the Peg Perego is good, Personally - I like the front/back style better than side by side.

I have the Cosco tandem stroller. After twelve foster children, it's only my second one! It is heavier than the Graco, but I like the stadium seating, the large basket and the suspension system. We have taken the stroller everywhere from downtown Chicago to hiking on the prairie paths (unpaved). It bounces along like the expensive English prams. My favorite feature is the front seat - it's reversible. The footrests on the seats also flip up to horizontal so that each of the seats turn into something that resembles a bassinet. One more advantage - the hoods completely cover the stroller area. This especially helpful in protecting the kids from the elements. Also, the backside of the front hood unzips so that the rear passenger can see out the front.
I definitely would pick a front/back versus a side-to-side. It is very difficult to walk through store aisles and crowds with the side-to-side.

Peg Perego make a front/back double, but is very expensive! We saw one at babies-r-us and is was $450! YIKES!

WOW..sounds super I will have to keep my eye out for one :)
THANK YOU!
I personally like the Baby Trend Deluxe Sit N' Stand. That way you can put an infant car seat on the front, or just pit the kid in the stroller seat, and then put an older child (1+) in the back on the step with the strap. It works really well. If you have two infants then use the baby trend double snap n'go or one of the graco double strollers to match your car seats. If you have two older children, then use two umbrella strollers hooked together or your regular old stroller's hooked together. You can buy a stroller adapter just about anywhere. I've personally seen them in the one step ahead mag. and babiesrus and target. Hope this helped- Dayva
