Anyone In Columbia, MS???

I am hoping to locate someone in Columbia who can help me. I understand that my birthfather (deceased in 2000) has friends and/or family still living in Columbia, MS. I would like to be able to get a copy of his obituary, as I've had no luck getting in contact witht the local newspaper there. His name was Dearl W. Bonner (the first name MAY be spelled "Darrell"). I understand that he worked at a fire department (or something to do with the fire department, like fire watch), had a younger brother named Richie Galle Bonner, and may have had a sister that lived in Hattiesburg at some point in time. I am under the impression that Columbia is a very little town where everyone knows just about everyone, so I'll have my fingers crossed looking to hear from someone that's read this. Thank you!! :)
