Originally Posted By RaleighMomDear Christy, I read your post and thought "I've got a 5 year old son who is adopted and we've never tried to keep anything from him", maybe "Christy" has some insight as well. Our son knows he's adopted, he may not totally understand the whole concept or see the whole picture, but we've always been very open about it and not kept anything from him, we pray every night for his birthmommy, we pray for her courage, we pray for her strength as I know how difficult a decision it was for her to love him enough to let him go. You are that birthmother, you are very brave and God will honor your strength and courage. I guess what I'm trying to say Christy is just be honest with him and don't try and hide anything from him, explain the situation to him using words a 5 year old can understand. I'll be praying for you friend and God Bless You! fergusonmkm@earthlink.net
