I don't know how to start this messge becoase this is my first one and everything I have read that auntiemom posted is my same situation. Well, make the child a girl, age 6 and no medical help for her in the last 2 1/2 years since we adopted her and her younger brother.
I am the biomoms 1st cousin. The children maternal grandmother called me and my husband while living abroad in Japan to help the family out. We did!
The whole thing that auntiemom said is our story to a T. All the way to where we adopted them from and what we were told by the social workers on the case.
The problem now is that we still live in japan and there is no help for her.
In April of this year, she finally had my whole family at their wits end and she informed us she only wanted to be with her grandmother who was always in our business and trying to inform everyone how and what she was going to do. She would call in the middle of the night and want to talk to the children. So,We happily sent her and her brother there.
In July I went and picked the brother up because he really needed us and missed us terribly. (He was only 1 when he came to live with us. We sent him because we thought it would be better not to seperate them. MISTAKE!!) However,She stayed there. Now the grandmother is realizing she can not care of this child who is exhibiting Biopolar traits, just like the biomom and RAD and she is wanting us to come and get her or she will give her to biomom. That is an option but, we get into the whole drug addict problem, so, we have to go and get her.
My question is this, Since we will not be living in Washington State, how do we go about getting this child the help she needs in other states. We are due to move to AZ in 3 weeks.
