It seems I have read alot of World Partners and I was just wondering who was using Commonwealth and what stage you're in.
Thanks
Hi Tanya,
I replied to you on Yahoo and I'll do it here too. We are also using Commonwealth. We are hoping to have our paperwork in by the end of October. I hope your wait time goes very quickly! I think CA's last referral came fairly quickly.
Keep us posted!

My husband and I are using Commonwealth and are very happy with the process. They have been very upfront and honest about the Panama program and what they know and don't know. There are still alot of unknowns in the process for all agencies. Commonwealth has completed one adoption for Panama already.
We received our referral last week for a beautiful baby boy. We are very excited and hope to travel in the next 3 months. He is only 6 weeks old, so we have to wait for some paperwork for him.
Here is our journey to give you some timelines:
1. Signed with Commonwealth - Nov 2002 (we did not work on anything until Jan due to holidays.)
2. Homestudy - Jan-Feb
3. Submitted initial INS paperwork - Jan
4. Approval for State of Arizona - 3 weeks (received March) (required by the State of Arizona - each state is different on this)
5. INS (after homestudy & Court approval) - 3 weeks (received April)
6. Dossier submitted middle of May
7. 2 extras documents submitted the beginning of June
8. Translated dossier turned over to Panama Ministry - July 11th
9. Received Referral - Sep 5th (actually referral came in Aug 25th, but Commonwealth was attempting to get it all translated)
We are now waiting for the remaining part of the process. We will keep you all posted.
