I was born in 1965, and placed for adoption shortly after my birth. I have been searching for years for my real mother, with absolutely no help from my adopted parents. My adopted parents divorced shortly after my adoption. My adopted father claims to remember very little, and says that my adopted mother has the adoption papers; however, she claims that he has all of that information. My adopted mother refuses to give me any answers to my questions, other than the fact that I was born and adopted in Colorado.
I cannot find out anything more than what I was able to get in my unidentifying information, which is more than I could have hoped for considering I have no name, adoption papers, or adoption agency to direct me. Some of what I learned is that my mother did not want to put me up for adoption, but had to due to failing health right after my birth. She was married to my father, who once he discovered she was pregnant, told her he was already married and had another daughter in another state. He abandoned my mother...leaving her alone to prepare for my birth.
"I found out more about you, mom...but I don't want to reveal anymore, because I feel your sharing this extra information with me will help me identify the real you."
Does anyone know how I can possibly find out what agency carried my adoption, or where I could find copies of my adoption paperwork?
Thank you to anyone who would help, if they could!

A nice person pointed out to me that it might help if I add my birth date.
I was born on 7/14/65
