Yes, one spouse must travel to Moldova for the court hearing, but you could be there as short a time as 3 days and come home and then have your child escorted home to you after the 15 day wait period after court.

Did you adopt or have you adopted or are you, like me, waiting for the country to officially reopen? Moldova is one of the countries (along with a couple of other E. European ones) that we are considering for our second adoption - hopefully in 2003.

I HAVE BEEN TOLD ITS 3 DAYS BOTH PARENTS THE FIRST TRIP AND 3 DAYS ONE PARENT THE SECOND TRIP, WITH A POSSIBILITY THEY MIGHT ALLOW ESCORTS.....ANYONE CARE TO COMMENT?
WE ARE JUST STARTING THE PROCESS AND ARE LOOKING AT MOLDOVA & ST PETERSBURG.
