I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this ... if not, please forgive me.
Today I spent the day at Children's Hospital waiting for the doctors to complete tests on my grandson. Although all the results are not in .. it is thought that he has leukemia. The doctors say it is treatable at this stage and at his age (he is 9) he should have a full recovery. Tonight they were doing blood transfusions as his white count is so low.
I am asking any and all who choose to pray for my grandson and my daughter that they will make it through this crisis and, if its God's will, my grandson will have a full recovery.
Right now, because I have a cold, I cannot even visit him. He is in a closed ward with other children with little or no immune systems. Asking for prayers seems to be the only thing I can do at this point.
Thanks to you all.
Marie

I am so sorry to hear about your Grandson. I cannot imgine how hard it must be for you not to be able to go and see him.
Of course, you and yours will be in my prayers. Prayer is very powerful, and I know you know that...
I pray, also, that you and your family are filled with peace and strength during this time of trial......
God bless-
Teri
HI Marie -
This came in my morning email. I pray it comforts you:
This week's promise:
God is a refuge in times of trouble.
Is God listening when I cry out because of my afflictions or troubles?
. . . "I cried out to the LORD in my great trouble, and he answered me. I called to you from the world of the dead, and LORD, you heard me!"
Jonah 2:2
God's hot line is always open. There is never a busy signal, for he is never too busy with anything, even managing the world, to listen. God has both a listening ear and a caring heart.

Thanks to you all for your caring and prayers .. it means more than words can say.
We have contacted our church and several other friends in other churches requesting prayers. I believe in the power of prayer and at this point that is what is holding me together.
The doctors have said 3 years of treatment with 85% success but lots of hospital visits and chemo .. its going to be a long journey.
Again thanks for our support and prayers.
