Hello all.. I have a friend that longs to get in contact with his birthdaughter that was giving up for adoption at birth..
Sept 17[ or there about of 1978 she was born at Denver general hosp. The mother's name was Laurie Corley
, , she was 16 or 17 at the time. The mothers parents lived in Woodland Park Colorado. Laurie spent the last part of her pregnancy in a state sponsored home outside of Denver city limits in Wheatridge as I recall. The baby was adopted in Denver suburb of Littleton as I recall immediately upon birth.
Thesearchguru has posted helpful information on searching in each state. Here's the search resources in Colorado. Best of Luck! :)

INFORMATION THAT IS AVAILABLE IN YOUR STATE:
Non-identifying informationӔ is information from your adoption file about your birth parents. It generally includes ages, marital status, states of birth, education, religion, occupations and a physical description of your birth parents. It should also include the reason for relinquishment and may include information about your aunts, uncles and grandparents. It is called non-identifying informationӔ because it does not include any identifying information such as names, addresses or social security numbers. If you already have your non-identifying information but it is information given to your adoptive parents at the time of your adoption you should re-apply for the non-identifying information. Agencies are giving out much more comprehensive information now that they did in the past.
Identifying InformationӔ may be released when an adoptee is 18 years old and both the adoptee and the birth parents have signed consent forms. Other people who can also register are relatives of deceased birth parents and relatives of deceased adoptees. The information will be released only if both birth parents register unless either only one birth parent is listed on the original certificate or only one birth parent is still living. For registry information contact:

Both parties have to consent to contact before this program will give you the information for contact. You must be 18 years old to use the intermediary service.

Hello.
Is your friend confident that his daughter was given up 9.17.78?
I was given up 8.17.78 and I have been told that my birthmother was 16-17 years of age.
Did your friend meet laurie? at a college party ?
I was born in Denver on 7.31.78 and adopted 8.17.78.
I'm probably not his match but I thought I'd write back and see.
