December 8th is Mother's Day

Panamanians (as well as other Latin American countries) celebrate Mother's Day on December 8th. Mother's Day is a special day for all mothers, including the birthmothers of our children or soon to be children. It is usually an especially hard day for birthmothers as they grieve thier loss. Please keep birthmothers in your thoughts and prayers on Monday that they make healthy choices for themselves and their children. May they feel comfort in knowing that we are providing or willing to provide a good life for their children. For our 2 yr old Colombian daughter's birthmother we say special prayers and donate to charity in her honor. As our daughter gets older, we will let her decide how she wants to celebrate the day and remember her birthmother. I like celebrating Mother's Day on December 8th for her birthmother because she has her special day all to herself and does not have to share it with my day in May! jane
