My husband has been arrested a couple of times, all charges were dropped but I'm concerned anyhow. He is an animal rights activist and got arrested for protesting animal cruelty in various places. He was fingerprinted a few times. Each time it happened, the case was dismissed because the counterpart (the animal abusers) didn't show up in court. The charges were trespassing or something similar. What do you think -- will INS give him fingerprint clearance??
The only way this will affect the adoption is if your husband isn't completely honest on all forms etc. His fingerprints may very well be in the system. This might slow things down but since he has no convictions and the charges were dropped it won't matter as long as you're up front with everyone.

No real experience here, but I would agree that being open is the best way to go - considering the charges, there might be some who actually applaud his stand -

Just me totally honest with everything he has ever done.
