My husband and I are wanting to adopt from Eastern Europe. We haven't decided on which country. We want a child as young as possible because we are infertile and want to experience as much of the child's life as possible. Is this wrong? I understand how to choose a country. How do you choose an agency? Do you need to use one in the state where you live? We live in CO. It seems that most agencies, while they may offer programs to several countries, really only do one the best. Is this true? How would I use an agency on the east coast, for example? Is everything taken care of via telephone? Any advice would be greatly appreciated... THANKS!!!

To work with an Out of State Agency. It is very easy and stressful to do! Almost everything in documents is either Overnighted US Mail or Fed Exed.
Photolistings and Referrals are not allowed also per the Eastern European Governments. Most Countries require that you go In-Country. I would stay away and avoid from Agencies that use either Photolistings, or Referrals. If you say that contact was made before arriving In-Country. Your Adoption could be Nullified!
You want an Agency who will Advocate for both you and your Child In-Country! Ask both here and for Agency references. How this was handled? Alot of Agencies either do not tell you anything, or don't tell you until you get to a certain point of the Adoption!
