In my adoption papers (which I recently saw for the first time) I am referred to as "Baby Girl Woltz". Does this mean that Woltz is the name of my birth parents?

I think that's probably what it means. If your birthparents were unmarried at the time of your birth, it is probably your birthmother's last name.

Thanks Sharon....That's what I thought too. Supposedly, they were married. I am just starting on this journey so I know NOTHING of where to start.
