Dear Nevada Adoptee Rights Supporters,
I am pleased to share that Nevada Open and Coalition Partners have secured a study hearing before the Nevada State Legislature on Saturday, March 20th. Here are the specifics on where you can attend:
CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES COMMITTEE
SUB-COMMITTEE ON ADOPTION MEETING
SATURDAY, MARCH 20th, 2004
9:30 AM - 1:30 PM
LOCATION: Las Vegas and Carson City
Las Vegas: Room 4401 of the Grant Sawyer State Office Building, 555 E. Washington Ave., Las Vegas.
Carson City: Videoconference to: Room 2135 of the Legislative Building, 401 S. Carson St., Carson City, NV.
This is a SATURDAY, and we trust everyone will MARK YOUR CALENDAR to make a difference in post-adoption in Nevada. If you have a connection to Nevada adoption, and you believe adult adoptees should have unconditional access to their state held records of birth and adoption, then you should attend. Show Nevada lawmakers that this is a personal lifelong issue. Assert your Right to Know! BE THERE. We can not stress this enough.

Nevada Open will host a Southern Regional Meeting the night prior to hearing. This will allow everyone to rehearse, share questions and opinions, help one another anticipate committee questions, and bolster our confidence.
