Hello. My husband and I have decided we would like to adopt. We have three bio. children and would like at least one more, but for health reasons I am unable to become pregnant. We are contemplating all the different options and feeling a bit overwhelmed. We actually would like to adopt a pre-school aged boy. We have met with DCFS in our state, but would also like to learn more about international adoption. My concerns right now are about the length of stay required and the fees charged by agencies. Can anyone recommend an international agency and share your story? Thanks!

India has a very short stay but with three bio kids you would definately have to be willing to accept a special needs child. The best place to research India is http://www.ichild.org
Guatemala is also a short trip but is much more expensive.
Ethiopia is a great option because the fees are really low.
There is a great elist where you can learn everything you ever wanted to know about lds international adoption. You can join here
