I am the maternal birth grandmother of a six year old granddaughter who I was unable to adopt due to financial circumstances. I raised her for three years and we had a very strong relationship. The new adoptive parents have forbidden any contact with her. I am seriously concernd about abandoment issues for this child. She has lost her mother and now her NANA. In Arizona there is ARS 25-45 which permits visitation rights to in loco parentis - people who have had a significant relationship with the child.
ANy suggestions or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
