Hi everyone,
Here is more to the story.
So, my birth mother as the certificate says was 22 in 1956. She worked for a place in Ft Worth called Remington Rand as a typist..
She lived on James Street. But when I looked up the exact street number it doesn't exist so I have been told.
I was taken out of the hospital at 3 days old and handed to my adopted parents by the lawyer from Mineral wells Texas. He later became a judge. I spoke to him years ago in the 80's and he told me my mother was "almost nonexistent," Geez, so I am a cabbage patch doll. Thanks buddy.
So if any of you have heard any of these stories and they fit you. Please write me!!!!
Thanks.

Seems Mineral Wells has a tight knit community. I am not suprised by the answer you received. Unlcess you have a signature on your rump, Im sure you are not a cabbage patch! :D
If you need any Texas assistance, please let me know.

Hey Amy
ok..maybe your right. I might not be a CPK but even THEY have others who look like them!!! :-)
I bet the lawyers that handles all those low life sleazy adoptions back then WISHED we all came out like cookie cutter kids!
So where is Round Rock and who have you found or are looking for?
I spent every summer of my young life back in Mineral Wells with my adopted Grandmother. But my parents moved me AWAY from the town that I loved and they loved not too long after I was adopted. Hum. I wonder why?

I am not currently searching for myself.... just wanting to help someone else.
I have found my brothers <adopted brother> birth parents... b-mom in DEEP WOODS Alabama, birth father in FL. THEN I found my oldest daughters birth-grandmother! She lives in RI. My daughters father is adopted. He was not interested in learning information, but gave me permission to talk with her. She has been the greatest friend in the world. My daughter has no contact with her dad, his choice. She never felt worthy of having more children, so she didn't. My daughter is like a lifeline for her, and she a lifeline for my daughter.
It seems I am attracted to adoption. ;-) My brother was adopted <we are 8 months apart> My oldest daughters' father is adopted, my ex-husband was adopted and I just wish I was. ;-) I got pregnant at 18 and my parents used to leave brochures to "Homes for Unwed Mothers" on my bed every single day for months! Of course, they don't like to talk about that now. hmmm, wonder why???
I have help in searchs since finding my brothers b-mom. It was an amazing thing, really amazing. Heck, I even drove to a house to leave a message because there was no way for a b-mom to contact her b-son after she had found him. I simply left a note that said, "Someone is trying to contact you. If you would like information or details, please call".... of course he did. That, however, is not a happy story. He pretended to be so interested and had him b-mom come to meet him, then he was absolutley cruel to her. Never imagine that scenario. Never even read about that one. Very sad.
If there is something I can help you with, I would be more than happy to. Round Rock, where I live, is just North of Austin. The library is great. My library will look things up when I am on hold.
Again, just let me know! Good luck with everything!!
