to go around this brick wall? A search angel says that my niece and four other female babies were born on the same day in Cleveland, Ohio in 1969, the lost index years. Anyway, she found my niece with her given name at birth, including my brother's last name. It is almost like she continued on throughout her life with her given name. That is shown as the cross referenced name. Odd, huh? My search angel does not think that it would provide any additional info to do the micro-fische hand search. Has anyone else had an experience like this with the micro-fische? One paid searcher contacted me and did a mini search out of the kindness of her heart. She found a Zz next to my niece's entry and stated that she thought that meant that my niece had been moved out of state. Has anyone had any experience with an altered birth certificate as to the date of birth? Does the birth certificate number always remain the same throughout one's life? Right now we are waiting for non-identifying info. I have registered at the ISRR and have requested the forms for the waiver to release confidental info. My natural brother, her father, passed away about 1 1/2 yrs ago. We had planned to do this together, but he was too ill with cancer. My brother fought in the courts of Cleveland for father's rights, but lost, as there was no case law back then. He never signed any papers giving her away. Just as soon as her mother returned to Florida, they packed up and drove back to Cleveland, stopping in Georgia to be married. I want to wish all of you successful searches!
