Lauren and Tyler are two of the most incredible people I have ever met! I am certain that my life would not be the same without them in it. Lauren has an instinctive motherly quality about her, which is evident in the way that she cares for her parents, siblings, and friends. She always puts others first and will do anything to ensure others are comfortable and full of joy before caring for herself. Tyler and I became friends initially while experiencing similar struggles in life and that friendship has flourished since. He is selfless and kind. They have given me guidance in my own faith and continue to challenge me to be stronger in my faith and consistently work to get closer to God. I look up to them both every day. Three years ago, I moved from Chicago to work in Baton Rouge. I quickly met Lauren and Tyler who were extremely welcoming. Lauren was one of my mentors as she was in her final year of residency during my first. Lauren was always willing to help, was a fantastic role model, and took me in like a little brother. She is extremely patient, understanding, thorough, outgoing, and able to multitask (in a busy emergency room, it can be difficult to not only carefully and appropriately treat multiple patients, but also teach and assist someone while juggling these tasks). Tyler and I also worked together frequently. I was drawn to how accepting, kind, and funny he is. We worked together in the patient/physician setting frequently, but also have been working together on a counsel as president and co-president that oversees resident wellbeing and cohesiveness of all resident specialties at our hospital. Tyler is always looking out for those he cares about and its no wonder why him and Lauren make a perfect pair. While I do not know Tyler's immediately family, I can speak volumes of Lauren's as I also work with Elizabeth, Lauren's sister and have met their parents on multiple occasions. Their family is picture perfect, they are faith-based, cohesive and frequently get together as a family, go on vacations, and understand the power of family. Not an easy task for a family of 7 girls. The support that Tyler and Lauren would have would be immense from them, as it is felt by us (Lauren and Tyler's work family) not to mention the support and love our work family would provide. Lastly, Tyler and Lauren have accepted me to Baton Rouge with open arms, they threw my first crawfish boil (which is now a springtime staple that we share), they helped introduce me to the LSU football culture and atmosphere, and we frequent the LSU baseball games together. All things that I knew nothing of, but now consider a part of me. I can honestly say that there is no couple that deserves and is well suited to adopt a child. Lauren and Tyler have been nothing short of the idea example of love and teamwork since they began dating years ago. They have spent countless hours working to build a life together as medical professionals. Aside from their academic achievements, these two make all efforts to continually better themselves and those around them. I have been friends with Lauren since we met in 6th grade. We have managed to maintain a healthy friendship even though we haven't lived near one another in nearly 15 years. This is a true testament of her dedication and loyalty to the people she cares about. As the younger sister, I have always looked up to Lauren for her grace, kindness and love for others. She has a remarkable gift for caring for those around her, which I believe comes from her faith and experience as the oldest of seven girls. Whenever I have exciting news or need advice, she is one of the first people I call. She has supported me throughout my academic and personal life, often staying up late to read my papers or answer my questions, even after working 12+ hour shifts. Finding someone who is a perfect match for her would be challenging, but she did it with Tyler, who quickly became a part of our family. Together, they have a genuine and beautiful connection that is beyond words. As an example for our marriage, my husband and I look up to them. Whenever I stay at their home, I never want to leave because Lauren takes great care of me. She provides fresh sheets, my favorite snacks, and anything else I need. I wish I had more space to write, but I want you to know that this couple is amazing. I promise you that this child will be well-cared for by them and everyone around them. P.S. I truly cannot think of a better couple to raise a little one. Lauren and Tyler are the most selfless, caring, loving people I've ever met. Lauren is my first born's nanny. I see the joy she brings to his life. She prays for him, plays with him, and supports him in every aspect of life. I know this is how she will be as a mother. They love to travel, cook, go camping, play games with my little ones, and so much more. Not only are they the best aunt and uncle to my little ones, but they are also the most empathetic, caring doctors. I've seen the care they give to their patients and also to the patient's families. Their faith is also something that I think is one of their best qualities. For Christmas or birthdays they always give our little ones a "fun gift" and a faith centered gift, which I think speaks volumes about their character. Our family cannot wait to have play dates. I have known Lauren for 12 years now. Our friendship started as roommates but took no time to develop into best friends. If I could use one word to describe Lauren it would be genuine. When you meet her, you think "there is no way she is this smart, nice, and thoughtful." And then time passes and you realize, "oh yes, she is all of these things." My husband and I lived in the same city as Lauren and Tyler when they were going through medical school. I found their dedication to succeeding in school as well as their commitment to give time to their faith, relationship, dog, and friends to be a beautiful representation of their priorities. After our paths moved us both to new cities, our friendship only grew stronger. Lauren makes it a point to reach out and stay connected to those she loves. She has gone out of her way to travel and meet my two girls. And, when I come in to town she makes time for me. Not only does she make time for me, she makes sure we do things that involve my kids. She picks up her nephew and brings him to the park to play with my daughter. Her family's close knit, have each others back, always have you covered approach to life leaves every family member feeling loved and protected. They never let each other suffer or be without. There are very few things in life that I would consider magical. That being said, the genuine relationship and love between all of them is a magical thing to witness. Although her accomplishments are big, her priorities remain in the correct order. Lauren and Tyler have all of the love, discipline and support to create a loving, stable and nurturing environment for children.

Lauren and Tyler are the epitome of love. Their relationship is filled with support, selflessness, and friendship. I couldn’t think of anyone who would love and care for a child better than these two will (and already do.) I have watched them dedicate the past couple of years preparing, praying, and waiting for a child that they can love as their own. Lauren couldn’t have picked anyone better to marry. Tyler quickly became a brother who I turned to for life advice, school help, and an inspiration in my faith life. I remember one time in college he spent about a week helping me with a research paper for school that I couldn’t figure out. He would do anything for anyone and is truly so selfless (and a big goofball). And as for Lauren and growing up as the oldest, she never failed to love us like our own mother and set such a good example for all of us to follow. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her.
