We are a loving family hoping to adopt. Do you think that the following will be viewed as a negative or positive for potential birthparents?
Although my dear husband and I were born in the USA (and very proud to be Americans), we are very involved with our Greek heritage. Our son attends Greek language school and takes Greek dancing. We also attend Greek Orthodox church and our son attends Sunday school. We are by no means the family from "Our Big Fat Greek Wedding," but we are extremely close and the grandparents are very near by.
Of course, we will be completely honest, but do you think non-Greeks would find our ethnicity to be unappealing?
I know that I do not find the Greek ethnicity unappealing. It is great that you are being honest - and giving a birthmother the opportunity to see what her child's life will be like. It will all depend on what the birthmother is looking for - weather that be a greek or non-greek heritage.

I never worried about ethnicity when I was placing I worried about a parents education and future plans for my child I worried about the place they lived how far were they from any major crime areas I worried mostly about why they so desperately wanted my child to be with them thanks for worrying about a bmoms oppinion
I would find your family's attachment to heritage a plus. I would also find the family closeness a positive, as well as the grandparents living near.
There is nothing negative in what you have posted ~ at least in my opinion.
