i have found out very little info about the names of my birth parents. i found out that my mother was a nurse and my father was a medical resident persueing his doctors degree. my adpotion was through either catholic big sisters or catholic charities. i was in a foster home in nova scotia with 3 or 4 other children. i am desperate to find my parents please help me. i was born june 26 1971 in labrador city newfoundland canada . does anyone know if there is a list of nurses working in canada in 1971. any info please feel free to email me with the subject birthparents at:

You should start by requesting your non-indentifing info from Vital Statistics Newfoundland. There is a 2-3 year waiting list, so get this going right away. Also request your birth record from the same dept. A law was changed so that as of April 30, 2004, adoptees could get access to the for a fee of $50 Canadian and filling out a short form.
