Hi, everyone,
I've been reading the older posts to this board in search of advice-you all have some much wisdom to offer! My dh and I, both Caucasian, wish to adopt a Biracial or AA child. We already have an Hispanic/Indian daughter who just turned three. We also already have a homestudy done. With much of the advice presented in this forum in mind, we are looking at several agencies, including Lifeline, Adoption Link, and The Cradle.
We are trying to steer clear of the agencies that ask for too much money up front. We only have between 4k and 10k to spend on this adoption, and we just can't afford to lose money early on with an agency that doesn't deliver on its promises. We are also wondering how many of you have signed on with more than one agency in order to increase your chances of being matched. Can you give us some advice? Thank you all, and it's nice meeting all of you.

Hi. First post here. I'm bumping this because we're in a similar situation --just starting to think about adoption and looking at agencies. We are a multiracial couple (I'm AA/Hispanic, he's CC of Irish/Lebanese descent) with one beautiful 9 year old son (bio). We'd like to add a Hispanic or bi/multi-racial child to our family (genetic difficulties our son has shown make having another bio child unwise, plus, we've always talked about adoption).
Right now we're looking at Children and Family Institute in Dallas. (We live in Texas). But we would like to know of your experiences with other agencies as well.
Thanks in advance! :)
We would also like any input on agencies that dont require alot of money upfront. We are interested in adopting a biracial baby/toddler. Homestudy ready, just waiting for someone to call us with a chld. : ) My email is Robin4350@yahoo.com Thanks.
