i don't have a whole lot to go on...so i appologize.
i am looking for an older 1/2 sister. we were both put up for adoption at birth.
there would be no way she would know that i exist. so if this information sounds vaguely familiar...please message me. i do not want to disturb your life...i'm just a little curious about having a sister out there.
my birth sister was born in 1975.
she was most likely born at St. Vincent's Hospital in Bridgeport, CT. i was born there, so i can only assume she was too.
our birth mother would have been 15 or 16 when she was born. she was 17 when i was.
i know that Catholic Charities of Fairfield County was *NOT* used in her adoption. it was stated in my papers that another unnamed agency was used.
thanks so much for your time.

My name is Anne. I was born in June, 1975, my ** was 16 at the time. I don't have a whole lot to go on either.
After searching now for nearly six years, I've come across so many horror stories that the agencies would change information to "protect" the birth mother.
I also foud out that I was adopted through the Catholic Welfare Bureau in Trenton NJ BUT that many children born in the tri-state area were sent there....sort of a hub if you will.
Anyway, how do you know about a sibling? Are you in contact with your birth family?

There was Woodfield Home for unwed mothers around that time in the Bridgewport area. Do you know about it? I was there in 1969 and today found the info to obtain information about adoptions from that agency. They are called FSW today and I have a phone number if you like.
Please let me know.
