OK this may sound a tad-bit off the wall here but did anyone ever received a music tape to listen to when reviewing a couples profile
My husband and I are going through the state to adopt but I was just curious if any one has ever done such a thing
Im working on a tape with all sorts of music that expresses how I feel and it just seems if we were to go with a birth parent match along with what they read They can also know how we feel through the songs that we have chossen. Perhaps it depends on the agencies policies huh
I was also wondering why when birthparents choose adoption they always go to agencies and not the state ? I thought it was maybe because you get to choose your adopted family but if someone went to there state office and said they needed help finding a family for their child They would help them find the right one so that cant be it so exactly what was the reason for those of you on this post that made you go to an agency or did it just never come to mind to go through the their state
Thanks in advance

I personally did not like websites with music on them - sometimes I was browsing pages in my school's computer lab and did NOT want everyone to hear music coming from my computer. As for a tape or cd to send out with the letter, I have not heard of anyone doing that, but it's certainly your choice. Maybe after you'd had contact with a birthmom, and she's wanting to know more about you, you could send her a tape or cd?
