Support group

:( Help! we are in great need of a support system here in Princeton/Trenton for international/ south and Central american American adoption issues. my 7 year old daughter just said to me " I don't want to hurt your feelings but I don't feel in my heart that I belong here.." We adopted her at age 11 months... Her issues surface late at night and she becomes nearly hysterical and I feel so overwhelmed and sad for her struggle and ours. We would be glad to drive up to 25 miles for support and possible adopted hispanic friends for her. Thanks.

WE're in NJ, but have adopted domestically through DYFS. In my research lately I have discovered that the onset of puberty can bring on these feelings of "not belonging". Obviously your daughter loves you. Her hormones levels could be affecting her emotions. It's very common.
