Hi, I've read that Pa residents may use a facilitator.... but can you pay for an out of state birthmother's living expenses? Rent, food,
clothing, ect. ? We are looking to work with Unique Adoptions
out of California and birthmother could come from any state.
Thanks for any info

Hi
I was (still am) using a facilitator for about 1 1/2 years right now. I've had 3 failed adoptions, not their fault, it just didn't work out but I decided to go another way. Right now I'm working with an adoption referral/networking service and I guess it's a little of being at the right place, at the right time and that the birthmom liked our profile but we were picked within 3 weeks of registering! Right now our birthmom is due within the next 4 weeks, we're praying that everything continues to go as planned! Let me know if you need any more info, I'll be glad to help!
I am also thinking of using a facilitator, I really like Lifetime in CA and think we'll be using them. I have read that you can pay for medical but not living expenses.
Karen- I have never heard of a adoption referral/networking service, do you mind telling me who you used??
Donna- I also looked into Unique adoptions but liked Lifetime better, have you looked into them??

kal74,
Hi,
We did look into Lifetime but it seemed that alot of the birthmothers were expecting on-going visits and alot of contact post placement. It is so hard to know who go with, this forum is a good information source because every agency/ facilitator sounds so promising when you are on the net reading their web pages.
Good Luck,
Donna
