BMom still searching for daughter adopted through Spence Chapin in New York. Born September 21, 1964. Named Helene Marie at birth. Only things I found out from Spence Chapin, due to NY closed adoption laws was that she was adopted by a couple who already had one adopted son and were in the florist business. That she was dark haired and a good child. \
I am also an adoptee searching for family, born Blanche ? named after a foster mother and born November. 1946. Stayed in foster care for about seven months, as bmom wanted to keep me, then found out she was pregnant again after getting married and they could not afford to take me in as well. If these sound familiar to someone, please let me know.
Thanks.
For prior post, the birth year was 1963, sorry, it's been so many years. If you are out there you have six sisters who would love to know you and 7 nieces and nephews.
Helene, I never stopped loving you, and only wanted the best, I was not in a position to keep you, my parents forbid it, I was only 16 at the time.

Hello Arline,
I wonder if you may be the same person who posted the following information on adoptionforums.com
I have a friend who was born on September 21, 1963 at Booth Memorial in Flushing Queens and
surrendered through the Spence-Chapin Adoption agency in Manhattan.
Her father owned a floral and landscaping business and she had a brother adopted three years before
her. However, her birthname, as known to her, was Marie. Not Helene Marie.
She is also not sure of her birth last name. She thinks that it begins with an S. She was told that
her birthmother was 16 when she had her. Her birthmother may be from Brooklyn, but that
is unverified.
She has sent for her non-id from Spence-Chapin and also her Booth records from the Salvation Army.
When she gets these she will have much more information about her birthmother.
Your posts were so similar to my friends information that I could not help but contact you to see if
it is possible that you are mother and daughter. If this is your birthdaughter, she has been looking
for you as well. She is nervous, so asked me to contact you. I am also an adoptee born at Booth and
adopted through Spence-Chapin. I found my birthmother three years ago.
If you are not the same Arline that posted the following information, please forgive my intrusion.
If you are one and the same, I hope to hear from you soon!
Thanks for your time.
Sincerely,
Jean Ebert
