Hi all, I know as of late there's been no news due to the change over in officials happening in September. I choose to look at this as a very positive thing since the last folks in office haven't really seemed to be very interesting in seeing all those poor children finding permanent homes with loving parents. I'm anticipating a renewed focus on the entire adoption process. Okay so I sound like i'm wearing rose colored glasses but, that's just my choice for now.
Anyhow, I was surfing around on the net and somehow, don't ask because I'm assuming some type of diving intervention lead me, i came across this great website on Panama. It was created by a woman who grew up there due to being in a military family etc. Her site is http://panamaliving.com/index.html
She has great stuff on history and photos all over the country. A link she has took me to www.chagres.com and there were tons of photos of all over Panama. I felt like I was there all over again. Pics of Manolos restaurant in Panama City across the street from El Panama Hotel and Jimmy's restauarant in Panama City where they serve awesome food especially cerviche. Also photos of plants, flowers and fruits native to Panama. Pics of Volcan, a town at the base of a volcano where I stayed at El Bambito Hotel and they even had pics of that and the beautiful views from there. The rainforest and how the locals plant food on the side of a mountain. It's amazing photos and helped me keep my excitement about one day bringing home my little Panamanian boy. Hope the sites put smiles on your faces during this tough waiting time and may give you some ideas of where to visit while there. Keep the faith!;)
