Please can someone help me? I am looking for my birth family. I am a girl born on September 23rd, 1970 in Pittsfield, MA. Adopted by a caucasian Methodist minister David Glahn and his wife Lenetta and son Gregory. I am bi-racial. Moved to Great Barrington, MA shortly after. My adopted name is Glahn. Please.
First, I would register here:
http://registry.adoption.com/index.php
It's free and gets indexed by the major search engines.
Next, do you know if it was through an agency or private. Since your AF was a minister, it could have easily been a private adoption, I would think. If by chance an agency, you can request your non-ID info and out a waiver on file.
If private, I think it is going to be tougher. In that case, I have a question to put forth, not necessarilly to be answered here, but to think about. Are your adoptive parents still alive to talk to, and if so, have you done so? Certainly not an easy topic by any means, but if your father is a minister, I can't think of anyone better suited to help with the emotional process, at least in theory. Since I'm searching myself and I'm keeping this on the QT from my own adoptive family, I can understand why you might be reluctant. But if private, there may be few options.
If you track down anything else, or if I can offer any help, feel free to either post it here or PM me. Good luck.

Tanya,
This is your brother Greg. I've been searching for contact information for you. Today I came across this posting that you made. I called the phone # you left, but I got a message saying it was not in service.
If you can, please give me a call or if you have an e-mail address and get this message, post it so I can contact you.
I've been thinking of you.
Love, your brother,
Greg
