OK- one more question, After the adoption is sucessful and there is a name change-- can you change the name on the Birthcertificate or do they issue a new one - is there a way to get a new one or do you just have papers and such? Ok so it was more than on =)

You get a new birth certificate that lists the child's legal parents on the "mother" and "father" lines. That's the birth certificate that will be filed with the state, and that will be used in the future.
The original birth certificate is then sealed. THAT is the one you won't see again, so get photocopies of it before the adoption, to keep.
