May I have your input for a research paper?

hello, my name is hailee. i'm currently doing research for a paper based on career opprotunities. It's a part of my Sociology class, and we've been asked to select a field and a job within that field. I chose something along the lines of an adoption agent. My research has been pretty sufficient , but I was hoping I could also get some real answers from professionals. So, would anyone mind telling me what they majored or minored in in college; their starting salary, or an average salary range; how perhaps you're using your current job as a stepping stone to something else, or a job you used as a stepping stone to your current position;and any other details that your job entails, just a basic job description.
