Has anyone worked with this agency? I'm just wondering if they are on top of things, or if I have to call and be a nag to get anything done. I already don't have a good feeling. I called them requesting the forms for the non ID information and the waiver forms. I had to call two weeks later to find out that my name was still on a sticky on her desk.

After calling the agency, I heard back from them. There were no updates to my file, and there wasn't any waivers. The case worker sent a letter to the last known address from 1977, and my ** responded!! Things seem to be looking up in that department, she is willing to do letters and photos for now!! Unfortunatley, I seem to be running into some problems with my parents. They don't seem very happy or excited about what I am doing. I am 27 years old, not 15. Does anyone here have experiences with this?? I want to be up front with my parents and tell them what is going on, but they are bringing down the experience for me.
I was a Big Sister thru Child and Family Services of New Bedford and had a great expierence. A friend of mine is currently working there and has spoken highly of the people that have had expierence in the adoption side of the agency. From what she has told me, I would give them another call and let them know that you are serious and looking.
i was adopted from there and when i went to start searching i called they directed my to my case worker who i had to call 2 or 3 times eventually i had to talk to the administator to get to my case worker just to get some papers mailed out to me that i had to sighn and send back to get my records open and they also wanted 50 dollars. i havent dealt with them since then i was 18 or 19 and didnt have a car to go up there myself i was only in cape cod but anyway i just have a negative vibe about them and hope to deal with them personally next time
