I live in the Los Angeles area and would like to visit a therapist to discuss a lot of the issues that I am having as a soon-to-be adoptive mother. Does anyone know of a resource or how to begin to search for such a therapist? I would really appreciate it!
Thanks! :-)
If someone else doesn't have a better resource I know a good child psychologist in Westlake Village that may be able to refer you to one of her colleagues.

Thank you for getting back to me. I am actually pretty far from Westlake Village, unfortunately. I did find out about someone closer to home.
Thank you!
The kinship center - I believe they are in Santa Ana, CA (Orange County). I know when we adopted our daughter they told me of lots of different counseling they offered - pre adoptive and post - for parents and children and birthparents. I think the program was called bridge builders. You might want to try them.
