Can anyone recommend anyone reputable in the Shenandoah Valley/Winchester, VA area?
Many Thanks,

I asked around, and my former boss recommended a Winchester attorney named Beth Coyne to me; says she practices family law and has experience in adoption.
We've chosen to pursue adoption through a private agency in Bethesda so I have not been in contact with Ms. Coyne, but I trust my former boss completely so I have no doubt she is reputable.
HTH, and good luck! Nice to meet another Winchester couple! =)

They're the oldest private agency in the DC metro area (60 years), and offer a lot of support groups, counseling, etc. to adoptive families and birthparents, before and after placement.
It's a little bit of a drive going from Winchester to Besthesda, MD, but once we have a caseworker assigned to us, it'll be someone from their Falls Church office (which come to think of it, isn't all that less of a drive than Bethesda is, lol). But traveling aside, we just got the best feeling from them. :)
We looked into Bethany, and actually know of a couple adopting internationally from China through them! One of Bethany's requirements though (if I'm recalling correctly) is that the family is being an active member of a church, and while we're occasional churchgoers, we didn't think we could say in all fairness that we were 'active', kwim? But everything I've heard from Bethany has been positive! :)

We used an attorney out of Fairfax, VA that does only adoptions. We adopted our great niece from Texas and used her as our attorney and also another attorney in Falls Church for the birth parents to make sure EVERYTHING was done correctly and above board since it was an independent adoption as well. I can give you her name if you are still interested.
