Hello all,
I just joined. We are living in Utah and have 3 children we adopted at birth who are now ages 14, 13, and 10 and we have an older " homemade" son who is 19.
We moved here about 2 yrs ago from San Deigo area after a job lay-off and have found it hard with our children of special needs.
Hope to get some support and to learn more about how to cope. we spend alot of time at Primary childrens and recently I had to go back to work because we have had to start over due to the job loss and low income.
It is always good to hear from a new face, especially for those of us who lurk around the group and don't post very often. I too am in Utah and have one "homemade" son. We are in the process of preparing ourselves to adopt.
Hope you find all the support that you need.

Hi,
We too are here in Utah. We have three "homemade" children and we just adopted our new little daughter (actually finalization will be in December). I actually found out I was pregnant about three weeks ago, but I lost it about a week after I found out. But, we never thought I could get pregnant again, so maybe this means I can! Our new little one (she's 3 yrs.) is anxiously awaiting the snow to get down to our house! She keeps asking if we can go play in it.
I hope things start looking up for you. I am so sorry about the lay-off. We just had that happen as well. My husband was laid off last March, and he just got a new job, which, is even better that what he used to do, so keep the faith, something will pan out.

Thanks for the greetings. We adopted all 3 of our children as new born babies.
We were very grateful to all of birthmoms even though they choose to do drugs and alcohol.
Thanks again,
Welcome! We're in UT too. We have three bio sons and a daughter with mild special needs from India(eye problem).
Welcome Poohbear! We are also in Utah. We have 1 little girl (10 months old) we adopted in January. It is good to meet you!
General question for any of you ladies :D. Are you doing anything for National Adoption Month? We are helping our local LDSFS office with some training of volunteers next week. I am so excited because we have a more open adoption and I hope that we can help some of the people who have never really heard of that (I hadn't before we started) see that it really isn't that scary ;) . I was just wondering if you know of anything else going on.
I'm always happy to chat if you ever need anyone to talk to!
Rachel
