As a professional photographer and adoptive mother of 2 older siblings adopted from Russia in '99, my interest in international adoption runs very deep. I had hoped to adopt again this year, from Guatemala this time, but it's apparently not God's will for us right now. My husband is firm in feeling that our family is complete, and I must honor that. He is a wonderful husband and father, and we are blessed already with two of the greatest kids in the world!
I would like to offer my services, though, as a professional photographer, to agencies who work in other countries as part of the international adoption process. I would be willing to accept assignments at a nominal cost to agencies (i.e., my travel expenses, and the cost of photo processing expenses), because my heart is sincerely devoted to seeing these children adopted into loving homes. I am also very interested in encouraging humanitarian aid to orphanages and other such programs in developing countries. The experience alone of traveling to these countries and contributing to the process would be payment enough for my professional expertise and time invested!
