I'm looking for my biological father or his family. He left when my mom was pregnant with me and I have never met him. I know his name is Eugene Smith and he was born on March 11, 1944. They were married in Trousdale County Tennessee on October 29, 1966. My sister was born on September 19, 1967 and I was born on Sept. 3, 1969. I believe he may have been originally from Florida but I'm not 100% sure about that. It's such a common name that I'm having trouble finding any more information. I believe he may have passed around Sept 2012 but believe I have siblings from other relationships. I have tried Ancestry.com and Archives. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

According to the SS Death Index
He was born 11 March 1944
He passed 30 Sep 2012
His SS# was registered in TN (1961)
That's all I've found so far.

Thanks for the info. I had already found that and someone sent me the SS index stating that he lived in Chicago when he passed away. Any additional information will be greatly appreciated :)

I've hit a dead end but if you have anything else I can search ancestry on let me know as I have a subscription.
I would try the TN State Security office and see if you can see the application and ALSO apply for his death certificate now you know the date.

I tried to order his death certificate but I needed his parents names and I have no idea what they are.

I believe he may have been born in Florida if you can search anything on that. I know him and my mom lived down there for a while after they were married. My mom's name was Brenda Ketchum DOB 02/16/1950 even though she listed her DOB as 02/16/1948 on their marriage license since she wasn't old enough to get married at the time.
