What's the perception and reality of the age of children available from Moldova? Are there more toddler types (2 1/2 - 4 year olds) than babies (less than 2 1/2)?
Are the wait times less for older children?
Do the orphanages offer the child some nurturing and stimulation? These two items made a big-big difference with our 1st two.
We are thinking about it - and I think an older child wouldn't be bad for us (2 1/2+, 3, maybe even a 4?)
We've been through it twice before (great experiences). First two were (2 & 21/2), and they were marvelous. A little educational delay and language delay - but something that we overcame.

I talked to an agency yesterday (1-5-05) that said that Moldova is open, but the child's exit visa has to come from Romania which is still closed. This agency has five families that are trying to adopt there. They also told me that the children are not released for international adoption until they are 6 months old. In scanning this message board and the Yahoo message board I am get the feeling Moldova is a little slow right now. The "adoption commitee" was just reorganized.
Our neighbors just completed a Ukrainian adoption - and their experience was similar. Things die down in the winter months, and then perk back up in the Summer.
