During the search for my natural mother(I was adopted 6/26/60 in C.R.Iowa) it was revealed to me that my mother also gave birth to an illegitimate daughter on 7/25/59. Whether she kept this daughter is unclear.It IS a question to ponder, in what circumstance in 1959 a single woman would keep her first illegitimate child but not her next. So if anyone knows of a 43 year old woman not sure of her origins, please have her contact

Just found this site, and saw this posting! I have birth certificate number but no names have the Dr name and time of birth! Have been searching for 4 years. Need medical information! If anyone knows on where to direct me to find an adopted brother from the Cedar Rapids Iowa area, that would be very helpful. He would have been adopted out during the depression. He had 2 older brothers. His mothers name at the time was Mary Margaret Winans - remarried as Mary Margaret Emrich
