I've been reading so much on these boards about AA babies with sensative skin with recommendations to lotions and detergent, what about baby wipes? Is there a preferred wipe?
I think each baby is different; however, we never use anything other than Pampers Unscented with Aloe. With dd I rinsed every wipe with warm water, so it was basically a clean disposable washcloth each time, until she was about 9 months old. I am now doing the same with peanut #2. It warms wipes instantly too without having to purchase a silly wipe warmer.

We have used the Huggies wipes without any issues. Mostly we just use cloth baby wipes though that you wet with water and then wash them.

hi,
I don't think AA children have any more sensitive skin than any other group. Dry skin is just more visible on darker skin. We used sensitive wipes (they're unscented and very bland) and worked well. when she started getting larger (at about 4 months old, she's now 6 months old) we shifted to huggies natural care with aloe, no problem. If you are concerned, buy a small container and do a skin test (wipe on a small part of the body, wait and see if there's a reaction). Only kids with eczema/skin allergies are the ones that have to really worry about detergents, perfumes, lotions and the like.
btw, dd is AA, no problems with skin. we bathe her daily for 2 min in Aveeno bath and she's fine. we rarely use lotion, for now her skin is quite moist with the quick hydration baths every day.

I've been a Mommy for a long time! LOL Our oldest is 16 years & our youngest is 16 months. I've tried LOTS of different wipes. The ones I like & have found to be the best I've ever used are "Baby Magic". They are nice & thick PLUS they have a small amount of Baby Magic bath soap in them! Cleans very good & have not had any kind of reaction, even with our daughter who has VERY sensitive skin.
