Greetings!
First I thought I would tell you all a bit about me as a 'scrapbooker' I have been a scrapping addict for about 8 years. Yes the addiction started as a shopping addiction but it has grown into a full blow addiction! I have traveled out of state to attend Scrapbook conventions, I have attended many full weekend scrapping events. I have had the honor to personally meet Lisa Bernson and Michelle Gerbrant who are pretty much the 'queens' of scrapping. I have made scrapbooks for almost every member of my family. I teach scrapbooking classes.
I love all different techniques, Punch Art, Rubber Stamping, using templates, doing pages on the computer, paper dolls, etc
The thing I love most about scrapping is that it is CUSTOM! I recently saw a post about a single parent who couldn't find a baby book that was appropriate - NO WORRIES with a scrapbook - because YOU make it suit YOU. You also don't have to worry about 'color' of the kids in the pictures of some of the premade books because you can make them the right color!
I really want this area to be able to help people in all areas of scrapbooking, with a focus on the special situations that members of the adoption triad have.
Feel free to ask ANY scrapping related question! There is no stupid question!
Addtionally you don't have to be a super creative, artsy person to do a scrapbook, lifebook, book for potentional bmoms, memory book, etc! They can be as plain or as fancy as you like. All I recommend is that you take care to preserve those memories.
Happy Scrapping!
Diane

You are most welcome!
I am in the midst of starting the book about our family life right now! I am going really SIMPLE! I found some fun paper that is color blocked w/ big letters on it. So I bought
D (for Diane)
C (for Hubby Chad)
H (for our house)
P (for our pets)
as well as some other fun color blocked paper
I am planning to do a 6x6 album with them.

Diane- Thank you for asking them to set up this area of the forum. We were told to put together a scrapbook about our family life. I hope that this spring I will be asking you for ideas for our children's lifebooks!!! God bless.
