agency nightmare

We are in the middle of a nightmare with our adoption agency. I didn't think that state licensed agencies could do what this agency has done.

The MI Ombudsmans office said they can't help us. It's "bigger" than what they can handle.

I would really like to PM anyone willing to share how they have survived overwhelming feelings of fear, vulnerability and extortion inflicted on them by their agency.

I don't know the facts...

but have you contacted Social Services

The State Attorney Generals' office.

The local DA's or State DA's office - there should be a consumer division somewhere.

Hi Maia,

I would love to talk to you about your situation. We too have had problems with our agaency. I have talked to the MI Obudsman too! We have hired an attroney and things are finally moving along in the right direction. We just received a favorable ruling from our adoption status hearing. I am wondering if we are dealing with the same agency. Our agency is very small, and I don't think they knew what they were doing when they got our kids, as our daughter is special needs.
