I was so excited when chat finally came back!! That is until I got there. Yes, the colors are pretty, but the messages are so close together its hard to keep up, but we wanted chat and we got it, whether we like the new format or not(big sigh)they say change is good, but Im not so sure about this one. Maybe we will get used to it.

Play with the options. You can change screen color, print type and size. I did that and it really helped. Just remember and correct me someone if I am wrong, if you choose say white letters and I have a white background, I will not be able to see what you type.
Listen any chat is better than no chat.
D.
The new chat room has far more options available, not only that, once you change the options, they are saved on your profile, so you don't have to change them every time, like you had to in DigiChat.
You can customize the background and even make it look like DigiChat used to (without the pictures and all).
This is, as far as I can tell, a much more user friendlyӔ chat programwith more options and more customization.
IŒll try to log on later this after noon to help answer any questions and help users personally format their settings if they need it.
Naturally this is differentbut I think with some time, youŒll see its better!

OOOOOOOOH! If you want something easy to read, simply change it to the windows XP theme (the field background that loads the first time you start windows xp). It's so preeeeeeeetty. Edit: There is also an option to TOTALLY TURN OFF THE BACKGROUND. If you are having trouble reading with the backgrounds, do this. Also, for our mods: In the Windows XP theme, it changes the color of the font on the user list so that you can't see who is chatting unless you mouse over their name. Just a heads up. Edit: I just realizeed that's only if their font is white. Gotcha. Next: For people going to chat: it's ALWAYS going to be easier to read your font (if you have a bckgrnd) if you make it bold. Just a heads up again.

Hey Sarah (or whomever), The other afternoon in chat when people were complaining about not understanding the settings, do you think it would be beneficial to write a crash course in changing options that could be posted here and handed out to people in chat when they're confused on what to do? I really think that would be good so that chat room conversation for the next three months doesn't always have to be "go to this and do that and change this." Instead, someone could just say, "HEY! Go here and you'll be peachy!" Or it could be stickied at the top of the chat room? Or sent to everyone's PM box? (Oooh, I like that one. No excuse!) If so, if you need help writing, just let me know. :) I <3 the new chat. Soooo pretty. And noisy! Which is fun. :D

Hmm, I just noticed that if you push the button with the ? (question mark) on it, that it takes you to flashchats "How To Use" page. Of course that is beneficial, but to those less computer literate, I still think it would be easiest to say: 1. Press Options.2. Under themes uncheck the box that says Show Background.3. Pick a color that is easy on your eyes. 4. In regards to other users' text colors, note that since we all have different themes someone's text may not show up properly on your screen. IN ORDER TO AVOID THAT, simply click on the Text Tab of the options window and select "show other users' text in my color." This will make ALL the text in the chat room the same color so you may have to read a bit closer when chatting but this will help avoid colors that are blinding (neon green on a white background) or colors that don't show up at all (white on a white background).5. Press OK.6. Chat.
