How much I love you,
Every single day.
How glad I am that you
Found me,
And made me feel this way.
That no matter what,
You will always be Mom and Dad.
You know every bruise, every bump,
You know my secret heart.
I love you in the deepest way,
I love you Mom and Dad.

I'm glad you all liked it. In answer to your question, no I haven't given this to my parents, but I am planning ot. I have a book of poems I am preparing for them. My mother requested some of my writing, so she bought me a black journal with the hopes of getting it back full of poems. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :o

What a wonderful poem. I know your parents will love it. I know if my daughter gave me something like that, I would have it frame.. Thanks for sharing it with us.. :)
Cathy
That is so beautiful! If any of my children gave me that poem I would certainly cry for hours. Thanks for sharing!!
I just tried to post, but the cyber-imp must have been hungry - I know I couldn't have goofed - not much ! . . .lol
So I'll try again.
Ashley, what a beautiful expression of your love and feelings for your parents. Too often we think thoughts but don't take time to share them while they may be enjoyed and cherished by that person. I am sure this poem expresses the feelings of many adoptees toward their parents -I know it does me .
The thoughts and feelings you expressed reveal what wonderful parents you have and how you were raised. Thank you for sharing this with all of us. I hope you will share with us again. You have a beautiful way with words.
Hugs
Carol
