Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here. We are in the process of adopting thru the SWAN program. We have had our training, home study and passed all of our crimnal checks. We are now at the matching phase and it is so very nerve racking. We had inquired about a little boy about 8 yrs old and our cw was told we were a perfect match....but, apparently there is something that has stopped his plan. Our c/w was then told that they want us to consider a sibling group of 3. We had not originally planned on 3 but we are not opposed to it either. We have a meeting this friday the 25th at the county office (about 4 hrs away) to discuss the 3 boys. I am very anxious about this meeting as I do not know what to expect. I am not sure if we are discussing the boys or if they are actually interviewing us. As I said we never inquired about the boys they saught us out after they read our profile. Some days I think wow 3 boys how great, then there are days where I think about how in the world am I going to put 3 thru college (they are very close in age). We are a christian family very strong in our faith and know that if God wants us to have these 3 boys then that is who we will have an He will work everything else out.
Does anyone have any advise for us as far as this meeting goes? We appreciate anything we can get. Oh we have a biodaughter who is 18 (college student) who thinks 3 lil brothers will be great.
Thanks so much!
GOD BLESS!!
