:) Hi everyone. New to the forum. My husband is a searching adoptee. He was born in Denver Nov. 1973.
Colorado is sure hard as I'm sure many states are. We have searched on and off over the last few years, with no luck. We are thinking of taking the final plunge and trying the Intermediary.
Just wondered if there is anyone out there that can share their experiences and or suggest a specifi CI.
We are both nervous, confused and scared! Thanks in advance. Any and all comments, suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Why not skip the searching .Go to Colorado adoptions
download and print the necessary forms and open those
adoption records.
Then you have names, social security numbers, and
valid addresses. Then its a piece of cake to search.
The census probably wouldn't help,your to young,but
city directories are great.
Good luck with the search then. You can also go to zaba.com and do a US search. Also the search systems.com
are great in finding marriages,divorces,etc.

You can go to www.adopteesearch.info and get some insight about the CCIS program. You can also join their COregistry yahoo group which has a lot of people both bmoms and adoptees who have gone through CCIS to find. You can get some insight on people's experiences with CCIS.

Colorado adoptee in waiting
Jancy,
Have you gone through CCIS yet? In reference to Linda Specht's message the only way you can get the adoption records open is through CCIS. You can not do it on your own except for extreme cases such life or death medical situation.

Sarah,
Well I guess you have gone through CCIS, haven't you? You and Steve have been on the COregistry board and have been in a successful reunion for a while now. It is amazing where people start out at.
I check here every so often because people do not always know about the COregistry and I try to steer them over there.
