need help finding atty. from 1977

Hello, I need help trying to locate a R. Harris, atty, in Gulfport, Ms. in the 70's. He handled adoption and was paid for a divorce, but I never received my final papers, since I had moved away. You can email me, at topazia51@yahoo.com. What happens to files held by atty. if he is deceased?

the court will have copies of that. In fact, when I need copies of my divorce papers, I have to call family court where I was divorced and they send me copies (at cost of course).

I wouldn't bother with the atty - my atty had referred me to the court, as mentioned.
